Scar turtle, deer in the bush

Looks as if my turtle survived its brush with death.

Scar, the painted turtle I released, seems to be doing fine in the frog pond!

This deer has a tumour, but seems to manage, too!

This one has been hanging around. He has some sort of tumour on his haunch. So far, though, he seems fine. I am so curious.
In the meantime, the pregnant deer has disappeared! I hope she's given birth deep in the wetland. Safely. We shall see!

I'm glad the turtle was OK. Strange to see that tumor on the deer though.

Animals, and people, don't have to be perfect in order to live good lives!
I am off to spend the day at the polling station...
