Phoebe hatchling progress - they've flown the coop!
Phoebe from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.
I can see at least 4 Phoebe hatchlings. This is my last video of them, taken yesterday, the 16th.
I'm not sure how many there were in total, but there were 5 eggs.
They have fledged and they left today! I shall miss them. Alway out and about on the trellis, in the trees, singing prettily.
Here is my data record from Bird Studies Canada. Eggs laid May 12- 15. Hatched May 29 = 17 days. Fledging period: May 29 - June 17 = 20 days.
UPDATE: Today, the day after, Phoebe is out and about checking out nesting sites, including a shelf I attached to the house, preparing for a new brood! Very exciting.

sad and yet, that's life!
Good for them!
the video wouldn't play through for me (my connection is dreadful) but we have a 2nd brood about ready to fledge in our barn, too. :)
They are so cute. It must be sad to see them leave.. great video.
