He is such a nutbar. He ignores the deer, hunting for red squirrel. They are fascinated by him. He doesn't seem to understand or care about them. Oliver was the same.
I posted photos of Dorah, with the deer watching her. She was hesitant about it, sitting safely on top of the well.
The other day, with the snow melting, Buster was looking for the field mice on top of the septic system! I saw him walking directly towards the deer.
He wanted to head over to the White Pine tree, where Reddy often climbs as he approaches.
The doe was on guard, watching him approach her. He just kept going towards her, intent on going around her, while she was worried about protecting her twins. The deer really egged him on!

Each species living in their own world and then they collide (or almost so). Still looks so cold to me there!
