Heat, trailcam tails

We're in a heat wave, as many are. These photos sum it all up.

🦷 I have an appointment for a root canal. My first. Great fun. Antibiotics and Codeine, too. Joe drove me to Carleton Place for the consult Monday as I was a bit perturbed! We passed this restaurant, again. It is quite a hoot. It was a gas station.

Thank goodness for Walkies, and trailcams to distract me.

Cinnamon inspected the wind fall. He was impressed. Our clean up day is scheduled for Aug. 6th, thanks for asking, Granny Sue. It's still out there, we'll be patient.  I've been in too much pain to fret over it.

I noticed that the trailcam was covered in mites. I knew where they came from: phoebe. She sits on the top of the camera.

It has happened when they re-use the same nest.

The fox has been an irregular visitor!

And, my big announcement, we've twin fawns! I caught one on the driveway camera. I didn't know there were twins. One has the Zoomies...

...someone needs to come up with a way to short this heat so we can heat up cold winter days.

That's a cool look gas station/restaurant. Hang in there. Dental work is the worst, isn't it?

You have such tall trees! Wonder! And no wonder mamma deer was so big! Twins! Congrats to her. Root canals are not as bad as people seem to think. The relief from pain is the best part of course.

I hope your proceedure goes well. You will have relief. My trail cameras are very quiet. I had a soaking well raccoon walk by, but Mr. Fox is m.i.a.

I am glad you gave a plan for cleanup. Our C poor broken black walnut is still dangling. The top half broke off, but not entirely. It will be tricky to cut.
The twins are adorable, especially that zoomie one. I wonder if he's teying to escape fliss and biting bugs. I have seen them do that here, when the gnats drive them crazy.
Good luck with your poor tooth! No fun at all there.

I had two moms and three offspring in the field behind our house early yesterday morning. All the kids (oops, fauns) had the zoomies. It was a wonderful thing to watch.

I have had to have several root canals and the procedure is not all that bad if you are properly frozen and, this is important, left for the freezing to take effect properly.
