The first part of my day involves checking out the back deck. My ritual. This morning it was coffee while downloading trailcam images remotely. Coffee in hand.
The other is checking blog comments! I really appreciate your visits.
@Val: We have people coming Aug. 6th to clear up the tree debris.
@Red: this is the 2nd brood for Phoebe. We have a wee army of bug eaters.
I don't know why I can't learn my lesson! It wasn't the cats. I am certain it is Butch Raccoon! Is this the 3rd time?! Sigh. I had a piece of wood on top of the bucket, since Cinnamon keeps drinking the stinky plant water.
MiniFred is still about. Up and down the driveway... which isn't the safest place.
She's been sharpening her teeth on the deck. Seriously! Sound up. You can hear her.

Oh no, raccoons can be so destructive. Your dinner looks so delicious! I'm happy to hear you're chewing again.
I would be spending my days there watching the Freds. I hope they survive for a while.

The Freds always give me a smile. I missed a post, did you have jaw surgery? I'll have to read back and find out. Your broccoli and homegrown tomato dish looks wonderful!

Too bad you couldn't put ear tags on the Freds so that you would know who is doing what.
Consider screwing down the planters that keep falling over. Raccoon may still dig out dirt. Squirrels like to eat bulbs. Linda in Kansas
Good to know about the cleanup. I thought I had someone who was going to come here and help, but he is busy with his farm right now. It may get done yet this year.
While living in the forest fallen trees and wild critters are all a part of it! :)
