May 28th – 20 years ago! We were so much younger then.

Caitlin and JL are celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary in Portugal. They are foodies, and began their first day by doing a food tour. The other gramma is in Ottawa with Jordan and Aster this week. We visit next week.
This is a funny story. I began this eleven years ago, for the kids' 10th wedding anniversary. I am having a hard time finishing it. I keep looking at the mistakes, making errors, miscounting. I was making progress knowing their 20th anniversary approached. It's a rainy day, maybe I can work on it some more!
Goldfish pond - I'm not quite ready to put them outdoors!
FRED
That was the last straw, apparently. Me mowing and a strange groundhog travelling on by.
Fred moved her kits to another burrow. Joe and I watched the spectacle unfold. She had them in burrow #2 under the shed. She still runs under the lower deck (#3). She ran, leading them across the yard to burrow #4, which has more foliage around it.
I saw her eating in the daffodil garden late that afternoon. Joe took a walkabout and Fred squealed at him. Cinnamon spent the afternoon watching them in the bracken. Fred and Cinnamon have an agreement.
I did notice a coyote going by the trailcam with something in its mouth. Maybe that's what scared her. There is no burrow where that other visiting groundhog took off to.

I've heard Portugal is a great spot to travel these days -- quite inexpensive comparatively and fascinating. I hope they have a great time.
You are going to be able to author a book on groundhog behaviour. Fun. We had a trail cam for some years, until old age paid it off, and were sometimes amazed at what it caught. Even more fun.
It rather shook me up to count and figure that the eldest grandkid is coming up on a tenth wedding anniversary. Yikes.
It's amazing what a difference 20 years will make in someone's appearance.
Fred does get around as do you daughter and her husband.
I hope the wee ones are safe.
The adventures of Fred.:) Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary to Caitlin and JL.
Take care, enjoy your day!
Loved the wedding shot of your family! The embroidery will certainly be cherished. Great to see 20th anniversary be celebrated abroad. My middle son and wife plan to go to Italy for their 25th this summer. What fun! Coyote's lunch didn't look big enough to be a full size Fred (or unknown Fred) so I hope it wasn't a pup/kit Fred.
Beautiful wedding photo...Happy Anniversary to this lovely couple and I do hope they enjoy a wonderful trip...Blessing to all..
Happy Anniversary to Caitlin and JL. I hope they have a wonderful time - and that you finish their gift.
While the coyote has to eat I do hope it wasn't a Fredette.
Time goes by in a hurry. I'd hate to look at what I looked like 20 years ago.

Wishing the young ones many more happy anniversaries! Yes, a coyote would spook any young mother... YAM xx
Great wedding photo and they are going to love what you made them. I keep hearing good things about Portugal. I hope Fred and her kits will be safe.
Happy Anniversary to the kids, sounds like a fun trip for them!
