That was a shock!

Just when you think things will settle down... I have COVID. The dude with Lyme Disease had to go shopping. In the pouring rain. Massive headache, drippy nose, cough, dizzy, thought I'd throw up. We only have a few rapid tests left, but this turned positive in about a minute. Joe Brian's test was negative.

I tried to make the guest room bed up, but had to lie down twice in the middle of it. I gave up. I sort of dozed all afternoon and evening. I couldn't eat. Tylenol helped with the headaches.

I feel a lot better today, but I'm not going dancing anytime soon.

I watched the massive storm roll in to Toronto, my home town. When up to 100mm rain hits a city, with all that cement and paved roads, the water has no where to go. Poor Union Station was flooded. The tunnel from Billy Bishop air port, on a Toronto island, flooded and had to close. They went back to using a ferry.

Southern Ontario has been hit by a major storm.

Lots of lightning, mostly to the south of us. All we had was 12mm rain.

Can you trace where you contracted C? I ask because you don't seem to move about in crowds. Is you vaxxing as up to date as possible? I know there is another booster on the horizon. Whatever the case, I hope you feel better soon.

Oh NO! That sucketh! So sorry you're coviding now. I hope it's an easy case for you, and maybe your hubby will be immune since he's already dealing with lyme. Yes those were torrential rains. Here we got slapped by a thunderstorm in the evening. I didn't pay much attention since I had already battened down all the plants on the porch...but when the thunder was right outside my house such that thinks shook, including me! I unplugged the surge protector on computer. Wow, in the mountains thunder can have long echoes, and these were very loud shocks. Take care!

Well, that sucks! Hopefully it is shortlived and you are back on your feet soon!

I hope that you feel better quickly. I know several people who have come down with covid in the last few weeks. You seem to be so isolated from crowds. I may have to dog out the masks again.
We were lucky to have no flooding here and our power stayed on.

Lay low, that too will pass.
My daughters office is right beside the DVP. She shut down and sent her staff home well ahead of the flood. She is quite exasperated with the city which should have had the foresight to close the DVP BEFORE people got stuck.

Some world wide weather moderation would be nice.
I hope you recover from Covid quickly - and that JB is able to avoid catching it.

Oh dear -- you and Joe Biden. I'm so sorry -- it sounds dreadful and that you feel just awful. I hope you can get paxlovid and that it eases soon. That flooding -- holy cow. That's much worse than we had here. Not a good week for you, my friend. I'm so sorry.
