Crumbly Acres!
We had an uneventful Thursday evening, watching the buck trio hanging about in the front yard. They can smell the bird seed. They took turns, play fighting with one another. Their antlers seem about the same size, they could be siblings. We've a doe with triplets hanging about.
This first photo was from last night at sunset.
At bedtime I took this photo – you can see the heavy snowfall.
This morning we awoke to exactly what they forecast. Busses are canceled in Ottawa. Wet snow, as the temperature is hovering at zero C. The rain switched over to snow around Toronto. We knew it was coming, and we were prepared. I went out just before 6 a.m., and the cats were staring in awe. We all jumped when a tree branch broke in the forest, and crashed to the ground. I'll stay out of the forest until this settles out. We've colder weather on the way, and winds.
Can you see the branches touching the ground? That's not good.
Something happened to the bird feeder cover. First I'll have to shovel the sidewalk, then repair it. If it can be repaired. May need a new cover.
I've work to do!
I best eat my wheaties for breakfast! But first, coffee.
Power is out all over the province. Also, in Perth, our closest town.
Our power is flickering, so I shall post this now! See you later...

We had white stuff overnight... but of course situation normal arrived this morning, and it's multi-shades of grey, wet and slushy. Not very pretty at all. Stay safe and warm... YAM xx
That's a lot of snow! Keep warm. I guess the cameras will continue to work in the cold...
It must have started past eight thirty when I got home.
Hope all is well. Looks like a nasty storm. Be careful out there.
I hope your power stays on, and no more big branches snap under the weight of heavy wet snow. Stay safe inside.XXX
Stay safe, stay warm.
We got a lot of rain and slush coming down but not the big snowfall they were predicting. All the slush is melting today.
You certainly do have work to do. Good luck and thank you always for such a great post. Love those deer!!!
Love those Christmas lights too :)
Kudos to you for being able to cope with such a nasty weather!
The photos of the outdoors are beautiful, though!
that is a major storm. we're in for a deep freeze for at least a week.
I like your new name, Crumbly Acres!
Oh no
I hadn’t realized that have been power outages. Not here, thank goodness.
Thanks for all the snow photos. Snow is such a rarity here.
The bird feeders look like a bucket of melted marshmallow got dumped on them.
