Lots of critters out and about!

Christmas is approaching. We've been having fun digging out stuff from the basement. These photos are from last year, just for reference. I had trouble remembering what I put under the train track to make it stable. We made the train go, but it was wobbly, I had to start again from the beginning. This year I've used a yellow tablecloth, as the red one is on the dining room table.

The action continues outside. Any noise and the climb. It's safer that way!

This young 'un fancied a selfie.

We have our winter herd! You can see their eyes! There seemed to be six of them. Nov. 29

I woke at 4:30, but managed to sleep in until 6:00! I was so happy with that.  It is garbage day, I must bundle up and get it out. We cannot put it out the night before, since we've critters about! The crows are bad in the daytime, but the other critters get into it if you put it out overnight.

Oh I thought it was a wolf. Guess winter coat makes coyotes look plumper.

Laughed at the raccoons quickly climbing the tree. Sweet deer selfie.

You decorate for Christmas MUCH more than we do.
Love your critters though I can well understand that the garbage is not safe.

Trains and Christmas go together well.

You wonder what deer and raccoons think of each other.

I think I recall reading last year, that you used some plywood extension on a table for the train set. The racoons are so big, I'm not sure if an evil critter could catch and carry them, especially if they get too big to climb the tree! I don't see any skinny deer either. Linda in Kansas

Love all your critters, but yeah wouldn't be happy if they got into our garbage. We have crows here that will do that -- (in Florida) and we can't put out our trash until morning. But it is a great deal easier to walk it to the pickup point here than it is at your house!

What fun to see those raccoons scoot up that tree! Always love your trail cam captures. Your train display is wonderful and the other pretties. Another super collection of photos.

While I am not a fan of raccoons, I did chuckle at Butch & The Gang. Oh the deer, the beautiful deer ...

We use to have the Harry Potter Hogwarts train go around our Christmas tree, until the two current fur girls decided since they weren't invited to Hogwarts, then no one should go anywhere - derailed several times! (lol).

Love the Christmas village surrounded by the train. A train was always part of my father's Christmas decor.

I think of my Christmas decorations as old friends I haven't seen in a long while! And I love seeing others! I don't see many crows here -- but at the lake in the summer, they are plentiful!
