Joseph Brian had a bit of a fright Friday morning. He tripped in the forest, fell sideways, and hit his head on the ground. Fortunately, he was wearing a toque. I put ice on his knee, after fetching him some water. He was in shock for awhile. He is better and doesn't seem to have a concussion. (I Googled the symptoms and watched him like a hawk.) He scraped his leg, but seems no worse for wear. What a way to begin the day.
We've snow on the way, it's -7 C., maybe time to do laps at the arena...
I found a great store, 'liked' by a friend on Facebook. Plant & Curio on Preston St. in Ottawa. These would do very well. However, we aren't planning on going to the city in the near future! I will keep this in mind.
There we go. It looks a bit odd for now, but the creche scene in front helps. You are supposed to keep them in the dark until they sprout roots.
I made the creche many years ago out of cardboard cut from cereal boxes, from a design in a women's magazine. I finished it on Christmas Eve.
Jos got her flowers. I tried to figure out how to make this a video, even downloaded the app to switch it from HEIC to mp4, but I failed. Her party is Sunday afternoon. They will have fun at the movies.

Pretty sure I know that shop, since I pass through Preston Street a couple times a week. There is an Italian grocer, Di Rienzos, just off the street that's locally famous for their pastas and panini sandwiches
Falls are scary. I'm glad it looks like no serious harm was done.

Much the same down here, I priced a fancy stake for the gladioli, but it was into the hundreds!!! Sometimes Tomato plants come with a plastic cage, and that supports them quite well. JB, take care out there.

Your cardboard creche is beautiful, Jenn. It must have taken you a lot of time. I'm glad JB's fall didn't result in any serious injury, still, it must have been quite a shock.
I agree $25 is a bit much, on the other hand you only have to pay that once and you have the ladder forever.
