Hooper walkies and the frog pond

Saturday's Critters # 229
Finally, Hooper (8 mos.) and Annie (5) and I went down the hill, across the meadow, and off to the frog pond!

This was Apr. 30th. The path is really wet. Recent rains drain down to the pond. The trees are in bud.

Annabelle on the dock, in the sunshine. The metal on the tree prevents critters from climbing up into the wood duck nesting box.

When we get back, they roll on the warm asphalt!

This is his second visit to the frog pond, and the first to the climbing tree. He's very aware of the situation. He wasn't thrilled with going too, too high!

First stop, the climbing tree.

This is a massive, old group of trees.

This is his first visit to the frog pond a few days ago. Daisy was sleeping.

Just for a different point of view.
The wood ducks look so clear in black and white!

These were quite intriguing. I think they happened when I was adjusting the camera!

Your cats are so lucky to have such a wonderful place to live. The climbing tree is perfect for a cat "toy." I like your accidental pictures, especially the last one. - Margy

The kitties seem to like strolling around with you.

What a great walk with your cats! I loved seeing this lovely place. I know the cats enjoy it there. It was so fascinating that the metal sleeve on the trees could keep climbers away from the wood duck boxes.

Nice pics of your cats. Interesting pic of the fallen tree that is caught on the other tree. Sooner or later, I guess it will come down. We have several on our property like that. We are keeping an eye on them.

This is so fascinating to me - we have never had cats that go outside, so I have a hard time imagining this scene!! So glad it works for you and yours! And the duck shots are a real bonus!!!
