Autumn Colours

Oct. – the colours just kept getting better and better! Then they were gone! Farewell!

Sept. 21st, the first day of fall. There was snow in Edmonton, out west. We had temperatures that were much like August, plus no rain for two weeks.
Now, in October, the sumac is at its best.

It wasn't the most glorious autumn ever, but we had some pretty decent colour for awhile.

Our colours suddenly went from gold to white. It's funny to see Goat Island in front of our cabin with snow on top and fall maple leaves at the bottom. - Margy

I am trying to make up my mind as to the salamander. Four-toed Salamander would be my guess, but it's a little difficult to know based on the picture. Now if only you could have shown me its belly!
