Here, June and September are called the 'shoulder season' since it's likely there are warm temperatures in the day, cool ones at night. Tourists, for the most part, and seasonal residents have gone home. Kids are back in school.
My afternoon read on the back deck are getting short! So are outdoor patios! Too many hungry wasps...
I've read both of these. It is her first sequel pairing. I really enjoyed them.
You can read more here, here's the publisher's summary:
Her tenth novel, published in 2025, marked both her tenth New York Times bestseller, and her first sequel. The Woman in Suite 11, a follow-up to her 2016 mega-hit The Woman in Cabin 10, saw the return of travel journalist Lo Blacklock, who is lured to a luxury hotel opening in the Swiss Alps, but finds more than she bargained for awaiting her in the eponymous Suite 11. An Associated Press review said of the book, “Ware throws the thriller switch and readers are taken on a ride across the European continent . . . practically forcing you to turn the page and learn how it all happened.”
I've went to Miller's Bay and snapped up some pie pumpkins.
The really large ones aren't ready yet.
We're getting there... I just have to figure out how to catch the fishies!
I look forward to the season change. Next it'll be mulching leaves!

Hello,
I like the cooler less humid days. I have read a few of Ruth Ware's books, they were good. The pumpkins look nice. Take care, enjoy your day!
I like these changing seasons...which reminds me of how Florida was so little change when I lived there. Just hurricane season, ugh! But then they have all winter... These crisp warm days and cool nights are so enjoyable.

I sat out for a wile yesterday but it does cool off fast as the sun passes.
September should be a lot warmer down here, but we are still having a fire at night, had to order a half load of firewood this week!!! You will be well on the way to Autumn with those bright pumpkins around.
there's always lots of fall yardwork. I started early this year and now think that I'm behind!
I'm looking forward to some cooler weather.
Thanks for introducing me to an author I had never heard of before. Love the pumpkins.
Oh, I love the shoulder season too! It's that perfect time when everything feels a little quieter and more peaceful. The book you read sounds so good! I've been looking for a new thriller, and a story that crosses Europe sounds like exactly what I need. I'm definitely adding that to my list. And those little pumpkins are adorable!
