Saturday's Critters

It's been terribly quiet in the yard these days. I wrote that, and realized the day began with a bang. Several bangs around 6:45. I don't know if it is hunting season or what.

The trees are beautiful, and it makes for lovely walks.

This was the last hummingbird I spotted, mid-September!

Sept. 19, an interesting wasp. It was eating the sap from the lilac bush branch. I've never seen that before.

I went walkies with Cinnamon. He roared up this tree.

The katydids are still chirping. I found this one...

I think #75, our released squirrel, has a girlfriend!

Our morning started with lots of banging too. Then I realized, ah, duck hunting season must have started. Lots of shooting coming from Presqu’ile. Lovely photos as always.❤️

Great to see Cinnamon's method of descent from trees! #75 is doing well for himself, getting her to chase him, no less!

Great colour on our drive to Wheelers yesterday, but Wheelers itself was not yet fully changed.
