Stewart Park Music Festival in Perth, ON. One donates at the gates, if you can afford it. I really like that. First we navigated normal rural traffic!
We've only three seasons here, bugs, snow and construction. None mutually exclusive!
First stop was the library. I'm going to read the Tennison novels.
Next stop, Jiny at the market! She is terrific. Every market day, Saturday, Joe goes in and gets us some dinner from her.
I volunteered with the park back when we first moved here. I was treasurer. Then they found a grant to hire someone to do that job. Apparently, that funding is gone, so is the treasurer.

People tend to camp in the park during the festival.

There is a canal that goes through town, built in 1816.
We like to visit the booths early in the day. It is easier to get parking!
There is a nice variety of food. The restaurants are usually packed. This year, they have expanded the food delivery service. People can order from the restaurants, and have it delivered to the park.

We went early, and people were getting ready. Many have already reserved their seats! The music was to begin at 11 am. We can neither sit nor stand long enough to enjoy it. I like seeing the booths, and the hustle and bustle. The festival runs on volunteers.

Stewart Park is a lovely spot. Joe used to bring the grandies here in the afternoons during Gramma Camp in the summer.

Joe decided to get a tattoo, I took photos.
Apparently, we don't bother stopping at crosswalks. His licence said OTTY something. People, neighbours, are usually kinder than this.
This planter caught my eye. They are huge!
We walked to where we'd parked at the library. I glanced in the back of this car. A creepy doll holding a knife!
At home, Joe waited for his Henna to dry.
It's a 3-day festival. Friday was good, Saturday was partly cloudy, which kept it cool. Sadly, it poured rain Sunday morning.
Driving home,
I spotted a wee car we slowed and were passed during the viewing.

That park is beautiful. Too bad you couldn't stay for the music but the crowds would have been a bother I bet.

Finally a proper mobility item for the elderly and town-bound! I see these as being ideal for all places with inclement weather - had been looking at all sorts when trying to find something for dad and was hoping for something like this but it was not there yet! Well done Canada!!! YAM xx

I saw a Duffers chip truck. They are not in CP anymore. When we meet with Sue's sister in Tweed, one of their trucks is always stationed at the park, and we always partake.
...Perth looks like the place to be!

I've never heard of a festival run by volunteers, but I love that it keeps it affordable for those who are on tight budgets. It looks and sounds like fun, too. Thanks for sharing.
I had to smile when you wrote about your three seasons here, bugs, snow and construction! We have a lot of roadworks and road closures on at the moment ... I know its got to be done but it doesn't make for easy travel does it!
