Hope

Quarterly, Joe has to have a PSA test since his prostate cancer surgery in 2014. He went in Nov. 6th, brought his hand warmer. He pointed out that he always needs a butterfly clip, which is used on his hand to get a vein. If they don't have a clip, it often takes two or three arms to get it. We're at 6's and 9's, but it is a distraction. The PSA test has to be redone. I think the lab mishandled the blood sample (hemolyzed sample). They didn’t have a butterfly clip available, which is needed for him. 🤬 This is what happens without a good blood drawer, and a butterfly clip. I'll keep you posted.

🐇This is really all I captured of the cottontail! I took a screenshot of her. The camera is too slow for a bunny!

Cinnamon has slowed down totally. Cool days and nights for my snugglepuss.

The fishies are happy indoors.

Frosty is ready for Remembrance Day!

I tried the log splitter, and it still works for the dry stuff! It didn't budge the wet log. We are in business.

As we walk along the path, we step on meadow vole piles. They took umbrage, and redug the hole.

I am making progress, stacking the smaller stuff.

We must have exogenous hope! The sun will rise. The clouds will part. We have to help one another get through these trying times.

It is good to have a big pile of firewood for the winter.
The fish look pretty, nice aquarium.
Take care, happy Friday! Have a great weekend!

Outside is major fog. I live in a cloud. But inside I can breathe. Your lake is so calm. Loved seeing the fish. Poor Joe, I have the same problem. Us who live through how many sticks have scars along the veins that they like to use, and can't find em anyhow!

November is setting deep now... Your wood stack looks good. Hope JB doesn't feel too pin-cushioned! YAM xx

That wood pile looks great.
My neighbor uses wood heat and he has numerous piles in different stages.
The sun is shining so...there is that.

Poor Joe! Can he bring in his own butterfly clip in case the clinic doesn't have any?

I hate having blood taken so totally feel bad for Joe. I want to hibernate like the cats.

Beautiful pictures and the one of cinnamon all curled up is so cute. That is a lot of wood, but I'm pretty sure it takes a lot for the Winter during your cold months. I love a good ol' fire. Blessings for a wonderful weekend.

You know your own body best, and why do they not listen!!! I have seen a Dr use a heavy duty blue glove filled with hot water to raise a vein so he could get an IV line in.And when I tell the nurse Hugh will bleed before they take the line out, she gets the tiniest dressing. Then it spurts everywhere!!! Exogenous, is that when help and hope come from elsewhere, an outside source?? Off to make a coffee, still quite dark at 5.25.a.m.

I hope the blood test goes well - and they have the butterfly clip.
I am super impressed at your wood stacking and unsurprised that Cinnamon is hunkering down for winter.

Hope Joe has good results next blood draw especially since it looks like he was used as a pincushion. Nice wood pile!

Redoing the blood sample is a pain. I love your wood splitter. As a kid in the White Mountains of Arizona we heated the house with wood. First the logs had to be hauled in. Then brother and I would saw the logs with a bow saw. The dullest bow saw ever!! And then split it with a wedge and stack out behind the front yard fence. Then daily haul the wood need for that night and the next day to the front porch.
Some people look at a flame in a fireplace and think it is romantic. I just get tired.

The log splitter sounds like a good idea. Good luck with the next blood draw.

I am envious of your log splitter but I will stick to my axe.
