Cedar waxwing nest building!

Cedar waxwing from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.
I wrapped the bark of our Horse chestnut tree. Woodpeckers were pecking holes and burying seeds in it. The Cedar waxwing took advantage of it. They are building a nest in the pine tree in the backyard!

I love those Waxwings - they were the first bird that got me interested in learning more about birds. We had a flock of migrating ones stop for the day at our holly tree (back in our other life, when we had the Oregon house). I'd never seen them before and was fascinated. Lovely video.

The waxwing was really working hard at that burlap. You have an amazing camera.
