Gardening has been tricky. It's been cold, dark, and wet. I was using the hacksaw to cut a metal piece for my new bottle tree. This was a mistake, as blood dripped down my hand. That was lots of fun! I wasted a sunny afternoon.
It's a work in progress. I spotted the bottle tree idea on Crafty Gardener's blog. Hers are much better.
We were out back, Cinnamon and I. He heard something. He sat thoughtfully, listening. I figured it could be our porcupine, or a turkey. It turns out he had his eye on a chipmunk raiding our black morph gray squirrel's daily feed of seed. We hadn't seen #75 all day.
#75 showed up late in the day. We were wondering if he'd flown the coop.
May 26 – Three owls callout out the back. Quite a bit apart in the forest.

I do love the kithog videos... they are just too cute and if I was there, nothing would get done for me watching them every minute! YAM xx
Cute photos of the ground hogs and your Cinnamon kitty.
Take care, have a great day!
Ouch on the cut!
I really enjoy Fred and the kits...she just stays on guard while they munch! Fun to see that they back down the hole when thinking there's danger of any kind. She's trained them well, I'm thinking. Oh Cinnamon, aren't those flowers beautiful!
Don't you hate wasting a sunny afternoon? But it's such fun to see Fred and company!
Ouch! And the last time you had a tetanus shot?......Linda in Kansas
Lovely post
Cinnamon is such a character.
Fred is just to much fun. Cinnamon looks like he's having a good time out there.
Love the Fredettes. And your snoopervisor.
So when do the young Freds leave the mother and become independent?
I hope your deer hand will be okay. It is such a delight to visit you and see the creatures. It's healing actually! Smell that Canadian sanity!
Lovely to see Fred and the kits.
All the best Jan
