Grandsitting March Madness Day 3

Day 3, Wednesday, it began as Day 2 had ended. We had 17 cm overnight, with drifting up to 35cm high. It was an horrific storm. In Quebec, to the north east, there were 7 deaths due to mismanagement of the highway issues. We had one death in Ontario.

Isabelle had some of Grampa's oatmeal, with raisins. Jos had her toast. After a few cartoons, we thought about getting dressed.
Grampa was itching to play with his snowblower! Off we went, snowpants, mitts and gloves!

Firstly: outside we flew to help Grampa shovel, we did the front walk.

Then, we went down to the frog pond. It would have been good skating, if we could have shoveled it!

After our hard work, we still didn't want to drive into town. Happily, the Irish Viking had some surprises.

After that, we took a break.

I looked outside, "Still snowing!"
"It ruined all our work," cried Izzy!

Afternoon snacks, a bit of an other play, then Trolls, again! It was a rental, what the heck! Also, snacks!

Time for art: window crayons, crafting! After we watched Trolls, we watched the special extras.

It showed how they created the art for the animation. Jos decided to create some, based on their design. I had some pieces and she worked away with glue and scissors. She wanted to create an Angry Birds storey.

We brought out Grampa's globe to follow Papa's recent world trip.

Jos and Grampa watched Jeopardy, while I did bedtime stories with Isabelle. Jeopardy has been fun for for Jos. It featured a participant from Ottawa, where Jos lives. That was fun!

Bedtime was a hoot. Daisy jumped up on the windowsill behind me, while I was reading about Sir Cumference, and proceeded to lick my hair. Then, Isabelle had to tell me about all of her nightmares over the previous 6 years, at least the ones she remembered. I told her that all of my nightmares are about teaching: not finding my classroom, not being able to control the class, losing my class list!

The wind is still howling, so we decided to put on the radio for some nice music.
We had a horrible shock. We had a ToDo list from Mummy, and we haven't started on Jose's March Break Homework. Oops. Tomorrow morning!

Oh my gosh! That's a whole lot of snow. My daughter in Chicago told me this week that it was the first time she had to shovel snow this week. My son's job in Baltimore was closed for the day due to the snow as well. I guess we couldn't get away without a huge snowfall this year.

Hello, the snow angels look like a fun time. Love the pretty deer. We saw some deer on our ride home yesterday right off the Washington DC 495 beltway. Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy day and new week ahead!
