Pizza Hut Pasta Review

Dear Hubby, I've been ill and he's bought some 'to go' meals. This one, from Pizza Hut. The pizzas are terrific. I love my pasta, though. I decided to order one. It didn't go well.

We cannot have delivery, since we are miles out of the town. We keep a menu at the house, and hubby phones in the order, then drives in to pick it up. I usually order a lower-cal pizza, grilled chicken arrabbiata. When one buys from Pizza Hut one ought to choose their specialties. This is my fave. Hubby cannot have pizza, so he brings home chicken wings for himself.

I thought I would change it up, as pasta is my comfort food! Off he went, wearing his happy hat. Everyone giggles.

It arrives, not exactly hot, so you have to sample it and figure out if it needs reheating. It's not a big deal, and when I am sick, it saves me the energy. Faithful readers know how it is, that big decision about a meal, and what to cook.

I was very disappointed.
It seemed as if there was about a 1/4 cup of tomato sauce on it. Then, there were some raw red onions and green peppers. The grilled chicken was well-cooked and that part was fine. Problem was, the pasta was hard as a stone around the edges, since there wasn't much sauce, and they dried out. It tasted as if they'd thrown it all on some pasta, and put it under a heater. It was TERRIBLE.
Never again.

Haha! Maybe they were scared by the pick up and delivery man's hat and rushed to get him out?

That's disappointing for sure.

Are you any better? I developed a sore throat overnight. The throat is usually where it starts for me. Sometimes it develops int something more and sometimes it doesn't. We shall see.

The pizza looks great in your pictures.
Chicken meat (also soup)is highly reccommended to people during or after a flu attack; they say it strenghtens the body and elevates energy.
Anyway, I wish you and your caring hubby good health and prosperity in the New Year 2017.

Sorry you are under the weather and experienced a take out disappointment. I hope you let the manager know the product was substandard. Full marks to your hubby, though. He is a star. Happy New Year to you and your's and to all your furred and feathered and scaled creatures that inrich our lives.

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry! In the future, are there other Italian restaurants you could get take out from instead? It might be a few dollars more, but at least the quality would be good. I hope you feel better soon.

I've never actually had anything from them. I usually go for other pizza joints for take out.

Happy New Year! Get your rest, and hug the kitties!

So hard to get excited about cooking when you are not feeling 100%. When we lived in Nova Scotia we lived WAY out in the country. Take out food was a real treat and entailed some planning. It always had to be reheated when we finally arrived home with it. Too bad your meal was not very good.
Feel better soon!

awww, i hate that - we always seem to have trouble with take out, even from restaurants we love. the order never seems to be right and the food always seems to be over cooked or burnt!!!

and one other problem, is that we never seem to get what we ordered!!! i have one place that always seem to do well and it's pasta so we always order take out from there!!!

I love pasta rather more than is good for me... but I also have that Scottish thing of not paying for anything that I can cook in ten minutes at home! So am not likely to have to worry about any fast-food outlet's offerings. That said, our local Bangladeshi does provide very good home delivery of pizza ... though often requiring reheating. Given they are but a mile away, I never figured out why... Let's hope this is all we have to deal with in 2017... Happy Hogmanay! YAM xx

So disappointing especially since hubby had to drive to get it and you weren't feeling good to start with. We don't have a Pizza Hut in Powell River or one nearby in Bellingham. Sounds like that is just as well. - Margy

Some foods reheat nicely and others don't. I keep telling you to get better but you won't listen. It's time to check in with the doc.

I hope by now you are feeling better. So sorry about your disappointment over the pizza. That is a happy, funny hat your hubby was wearing. Ha ha!

@Anvilcloud It started with an ear ache, then my throat and landed in my chest. It always does. The ventolin puffer saved me from pneumonia this year.

@Yam It's true I could make it in 10 min. buy JB insisted on buying me dinner. Sometimes it's good to let go. It made him feel useful.

Ah, Pizza Hut. Love their Hawaii pizza, but not made in Japan :)
