Saturday we were busy!

We had warnings that yesterday's warm temperatures (13 C. or so) would led to rain, and then a big snow. I managed to get a lot of work done: moving the snowblower into the garage, ready for work. Tidying the yard, and bringing in all my moveable things.
This morning we had 5 mm of rain (0.21") in the gauge, now 7:50 a.m., it is snowing. Lots of people were taking advantage of the weather. One dude biking. Hillside was open for business, I bought a couple of arrangements. There were about 5 or 6 frogs still out in the goldfish pond. Two pairs huddling for warmth. I bet they don't come out today. We are at 1 C. now.
Geese are still flying. You can still see ducks in various bodies of water.

Poor Frosty needs a paint job. He's getting old, too.

It was a love red bow, which blew off in the wind. I must redo it today, using a taller ladder. <sigh> I have to gather some new pine cones for the red sled, too.

I really like your tree!

I had planned to do my outdoor decorating yesterday, but company landed in and it didn't get done. It is blowing a GALE outside my door right now. They are forecasting 25+ cm. for us folks up the Valley. Here in the hills we often get a bit more precipitation than the forecast....sigh. I hope I can get it done sometime this week before there is too much snow.

A bit of snow on the ground, i.e. almost ground cover, from overnight but now the sun is shining here in Brant county. We do have very cold winds however.

What a difference a day makes! Summer (sort of) yesterday, winter today. Glad my snow tires are on.

Well, the snow has come. It was already falling yesterday morning, but didn't really start sticking on the ground until noon. I think it's still falling.
