Busy critter day!

Hubby is watching another curling tournament. Daisy is keen. Then she was tired and came up on my lap, despite the fact that Annabelle was on the couch.

We haven't seen the deer since hunting season began last Monday. It lasts for two week. Saturday morning, finally, our twins came back. The smaller one seems to be male, developing antler buds. He was trimming up the garden for me!
Then there is our one Cardinal!

Hello, I always enjoy seeing the deer and birds. I hope the deer are not hunted and stay safe. Enjoy your day and the week ahead!

Our season for deer is much longer, mid-September to mid-December. Of course, the deer in town are safe because you can't discharge a firearm. Maybe that's why so many hang around - or maybe it's the lawns, flowers and fruit trees. - Margy

The deer must feel safe near your place.

Well they've survived so far. Are hunters kind about age and size?
I like the cardinal too. I don't see many here but used to see or at least hear them often in Sarnia.

having these visitors makes for a good day.

Your deer must be like the ducks that live by us, they all congregate in a safe part of the stream when hunting and shooting season starts. Let those deer stay safe too. Maybe the Red Cardinal is a good sign.

VERY INTERESTING HEADER!
I was just thinking _ America sent its people to fight (and die) in wars to install and defend democratic values in those places; and yet part of the same America protests and refuses to accept a President elected in a completely democratic way. What a terrible irony!
