BULLETIN: Storms prevail across south Ontario

WATCH FOR DOWNED POWER LINES
Note: for estimated times when Hydro will be restored, dial your 800 number on your bill.

Automatic estimates from hard-working crews on the job. We honoured our crews during Ice Storm '98 here in rural Ontario. Ten days without power.

A twitter from:    Wendy Gray

And it is head towards south east Ontario and cottage country. Check weather before you leave town. This is August weather, normally, yet big storms yesterday in Hamilton.

Rumour (CBC) of tornado in Minden, Ontario, plus hail.

Be safe. Drive sensibly.

I'm almost willing to deal with severe weather for a bit of rain we have had .68 inches of moisture since Jan 1 and .24 since February 10th. It's a dust bowl in my area.

There is so little we can do when the weather gets very bad – stay at home, but even that is sometimes not safe either. Hope your weather will get better soon.
