Dignity House Day Hospice Week #5

Complimentary therapists
Melanie Fyfe, Beth Fequet

Jessica O'Neil brought one of her dogs to visit Lanark County's Dignity House Day Hospice. Jessica is working with dogs as a pet therapist. She has a pet therapist blog, as well.

A THOUGHT FOR TODAY:
Animals have these advantages over man: they never hear the clock strike, they die without any idea of death, they have no theologians to instruct them, their last moments are not disturbed by unwelcome and unpleasant ceremonies, their funerals cost them nothing, and no one starts lawsuits over their wills.

I just read an article about how dogs and pets will lift the spirits of dementia patients. The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking we'll need to get a dog someday.
