Man of the deep

Action in BalaI visited the Bala north train bridge the other day. As I walked by, I spotted a peculiar site.  Intrigued, I went closer!

Spooky things in the deep. This man was inspecting the footing of the train bridge.

Not an individual effort. He was connected to his team by video and audio.

I hoped the people jumping off of the bridge didn't hit him! His partner warned him...
By then, the stalled train began running and scared the chickies off of the bridge.

Pretty dumb occupation jumping off bridges.

What interesting things to stumble across. Were those people really going to jump? For fun? Good grief! That guy has a pretty interesting occupation. We like watching people work and love discovering new things that people do for a living that we've never thought about. Thanks for sharing this interesting bit of your world.

Reminds me of a RR trestle across a canal the kids used to dive off when I was a kid. I never tried, but had fun swimming underneath and floating down in the cool water. - Margy

I guess the depth must be deep enough for jumping, but I was more shocked that they were up on the bridge with a train so close? W.C.C.

I am surprised you did not comment on the people on the rocks so close to the dam, with the warning sign, in your header! That sort of thing scares me far more than someone jumping off a railroad bridge!
