Her daughter, dear Isabelle, is in a class of 33 students. I had sent a tweet to a reporter covering the story. The reporter decided to interview her. I wrote an article on it. (OK, several.) and someone needs to question the Ministry of Education on this. None of these staff members have Early Childhood Education Training. They are trained to teach school-aged children to reach curriculum goals, not manage the biopsychosocial needs of preschoolers.

Stuffing 33 wee ones in a room not designed to hold –that many kids should violate fire marshall's laws. I have questions about full-day kindergarten, form the point of view as a teacher or 25 years, and someone with a degree in Early Childhood Education, having taught JK - gr. 8. I've seen what crowded classrooms does to at-risk students. They throw blocks, bite and hit.
