In the air, on the land

Monday morning was garbage day. I remembered to put my clothes out for the morning, as well as starting the coffee machine. All is good, if chilly. Out I went. At 7 am I could hear the trucks in the distance. The stars were out, and the leaves crunched under my feet. It was peaceful!

We've had a strange cat visit. I don't know who has a Harlequin Tabby. The nearest house is about 500m away, across a busy highway.

Hurricane Melissa is quite something. I wonder how NOAA will manage, being in furlough with the US government shutdown.

The radar shots are amazing, if shocking.  This is from Zoom Earth.

Back to earth's surface. I put out bird feeders, but bring them in at dusk.

I saw a CBC piece on the various uniforms for the Blue Jays. No, not this one!

There are 5 of them. The City Connect uniforms are for home games and feature city icons.

I konked out at 10 pm! In Toronto, they opened up the stadium to show the game to fans on the big screens. There is lots of positive spirit. We'll see what happens next. One game at a time.

Just caught up on all your latest news, Jenn. We need to get out more...it seems we just leave the house for medical appointments these days. Same foliage here still with lots of colour. We had a cat around for two years but she came to a sad end in our big forest. Never did know who owned her. They do love to roam. Take Care you two.

Hurricane Melissa is scary, likely to cause a lot of damage I think.

I like your Blue Jay (the bird....)
