On the road again: Brockville (1)!
We made it to Brockville, perhaps the real last summer-like day around here. The high was to be 28 ℃, which is lovely.
Our goal was to have lunch, and walk about the harbour. Just as we arrived, my map told me the restaurant was closed, even though Joe checked online. What panic?! Happily, it was open, and very q
uiet.
We made it to Moose McGuire's. Here is an artsy photo.
There is something about being by the water.
This is the view. Just lovely. It's very busy in summer. You can see the half window, which keeps out wind and rain. It was delightful.

Our late lunch arrived. Mine was pretty awful. The shrimp on my jambalaya was falling apart. The spaghetti noodles were almost soggy, the sauce a sort of soupy thing. I was disappointed.
The server was a happy young man, which helped.

This is the restaurant, surrounded by condo towers.
There we are! We are happy as our Vancouver kids are here.
