Fundraiser!

We were off to a craft and artisan show, the annual CC's Outdoor Harvest market last weekend. It was a fundraiser for our local Lanark County Interval House, a shelter for domestic abuse. We donate money to this organization monthly, but we didn't begrudge the $2 per person entrance fee.

You know, when you see these cars, it's best to just park when you find a spot.

We bought a few things from this charming young lady. She was selling some of her work, but also her Grampa's, who lives nearby. She was a bit chilly, with the wind blowing onto her back off the lake. I hope a nice sale warmed her up some!

It's a lovely bay, where the geese and ducks shelter on their way south.

Joe bought himself a sausage!

There was a meeting of vehicles!

"The vehicle in the image is a Can-Am Defender, a side-by-side utility vehicle. These vehicles are designed for a variety of tasks, from work on farms and worksites to recreational use on trails."

I'll end with the report from CC's! A successful fundraiser. $1900 to LAWS and $800 to Cards for Congo.

I'll leave this here:

I hope the fund raiser turns out to be very successful. Looks like a fun event and the weather (other than being cold) treated you all well. Those side by sides are everywhere down here. Some of them are pretty fancy.... Enjoy a nice cozy Trick R' Treat evening.

You had a nice day. We had to drive to the Perth hospital yesterday. It was not nice in the least.

This looks like such a fun time. I like the booth where you bought some things from the young woman and her grand.

Nice ... and the weather seems to have held for you. I am interested in the description of the Defender. Nice to be Canadian; we are trying to get everything possible from Canadian suppliers.

Can Ams are popular down here, side by side safer than a quad just meant for one then they have a person sitting behind it shifts the whole load too far. Also here is the Rhino, that's a side by side too . Love the young lady braving the cold.
