Saturday's Critters

We still have hummingbirds, but the insect-eating song birds have seriously quieted down,. I suppose I jinxed it, as I wrote that before Joe found one.

The other biting bugs have lessened. This, too, is a good thing.

I made a comment that Butch raccoon hasn't been around much. Nor had I seen any kits.

There are two bullfrogs in the goldfish pond, as well as the 8 goldfish. This one sits and waits for bugs to come down the plant and eats them up! It doesn't ming if I watch it. It is intense.

The fishies and froggies tolerate one another. Sometimes the fish nibble on froggie's toes, accidentally, but all is usually forgiven.

I spotted the doe and buck awhile back. Here is the doe on the driveway. That driveway is a great path for the critters!

Down at the frog pond, coyote is up to his old tricks, peeing in front of the camera! They really are funny.

Interesting that you chart the ticks like that. Might be useful information for a researcher.

That’s such a vivid update! 🌿 I love it. How you describe the balance between all the creatures — the frogs, goldfish, deer, even the coyote. It feels like your backyard is full of little stories every day. Thank you so much oh and what a big frog in the video 🐟🐸🦌

I've only had a couple of ticks this year but I HATE them! I spray my ankles before a hike though and I'm sure that helps. Love your wildlife and the pics and videos! Hugs!

Fall is approaching. The only birds I have been seeing are sparrows.
