Cinnamon walkies

It's been a minute! It's been too buggy for walkies. He's happier on the deck. The bugs have lessened in this brutal heat. They need water to lay eggs, and the wetland is quite dry. Look at the frog pond!

Oliver's Lot isn't too bad, except the sumacs have died off. The soil is so shallow here. and water isn't retained.

Off we went into the forest. He's well camouflaged.

What is normally water, is all foliage.

I looked up, can you see the leaves turning? To be honest, this is from the drought, not fall.

He loves the rocks.

He loves the downed trees.

He makes dough on the rock, happy to be in he forest.

Back to the house, happy cat.

And in good news, we had three rainfalls on Wednesday. It was so joyful. There was lots of lightning and thunder. There were power outages, but most people are back up today. See how Perth is the rock in the river, but it did dump rain.

This morning, it is nice and cool. That helps us all. Our farm down the road posted a happy photo of the rain falling on their crops.
