Crumbly Acres is more crunchy than crumbly. I recall son Jesse, in Vancouver, who had water issues. He used to say, 'If it's yellow, let it mellow!' With the lack of rain, we are waiting to flush.
This is the 🇨🇦 Canadian NA satellite map. You can see our lack of clouds, and hurricane Erin, as well as her eye. Just having cloud cover helps. We had 6 mm Tuesday, and 6 on Wednesday.
Our front yard. Look at that brown 'grass,' although it is mostly weeds, which are done for the season.
Things look much difference in shaded areas.
Joe's back is better after his fall Wed., Aug. 15, but he does have a green and blue bruise. You can read more here. He managed short trips to town Tuesday and Wednesday. He's not in as much pain but still fragile.
There was an update on the Ottawa plane crash. While residents impacted by the plane crash are having trouble getting water testing and clean-up of spilled oil and fire retardant, the powers-that-be are asking the public to look for debris along the flight field. The plane ended up in a tree, with one dead, and two injured.
We're expecting the kids on Friday for a last visit/sleepover before school begins. Jordan is off to Queens University, Aster going into Gr. 10. It's a big change to their household, I know! I remember taking Caitlin to Waterloo University with her two brothers.
I'm still working on staining the decks. I cannot use the power washer for now. We are so low on water. I've decided to try sanding off the mold. We'll see what happens. Thing is, after I stain, the temperature has to be above 10 ℃ for 48 hours. This doesn't look good!
