Yes! My 'much older husband,' as he calls himself, will spend a month being eight years older than I am, until my birthday in December!
What a party we had on Saturday! The kids came for a sleepover and a party.
Isabelle, doing patterning in her Gr. 1 math class, set out the veggies on the skull plate Grampa bought for her to use!
The menu...
Three of us on our Mac laptops! Jos (8) is learning how to make an animal game. Her sister, Izzy, will work on her game later. She is similarly learning how to program a space game. Sigh. Geeks abound!
In the meantime, Iz and Mommy mashed the potatoes for us.
Cake time. There weren't nearly enough candles. There were two helpers to remove and lick off said candles.
Presents!
Hubby wanted a real globe, since he reads a lot of history, and likes to know exactly where the battles took place. He had helpers to unwrap, too! The package had its own benefits.
Voila!
Cards galore. Also, a dual control heating blanket for the bed. He is always cold! I bought him a simple digital camera, he even used it!
The next present is a small, Canon Powershot camera. Everyone had fun!
A grand time had by all.
After dinner, popcorn and movies!
Sleep time, Gramma stories, and bed.
After breakfast, they went home and we miss them.
That afternoon, one buck strolled into the yard, marked his territory, and ambled off. There were bugs out, too.
I put up some lights, and Butch raccoon came for a visit.
