Winter is here!

Well, not really. It looks pretty and no shoveling is required!
Goldfish pond has a bit of ice on it. I told those fishies to come indoors!
You can see where our deer friends ambled about looking for good grass to nibble.

That is what it looked like here on Friday morning when we got up. More snow predicted for overnight ... up to 5 cm. And still about a month to go before winter officially begins. My theory is ... it better end early if it starts early :)

Looks like your winter has truly arrived, do all the goldfish come inside for winter? I read somewhere, ages ago, DO NOT crack the ice on their pond, as the sound waves are too much and they die. Cannot verify this, as the year we had 4 inch ice, there weren't fish in it. And since then, very little ice on it. Wrap up well, Hugs, Jean

I'm not sure about that, Jean. The kids just left, and cracked the ice.
The dumb thing left in the pond are the ones who refused to be caught! I brought about a dozen indoors!

Very pretty, but then I'm silly that way. I'd be happy to see snow through the end of April.
