We were so sad about the election results (although Oregon maintains its blue status and the results in this state were good. For whatever good it will do nationally.)
The turnout was very low nationwide which is the saddest thing and that always benefits the Republicans. Too many people, sadly many in our age group, vote against their own interests because they are so afraid of social change; the Republican party and its fatcat candidates pander to that fear. It is very very sad.

As a Brit in Britain I couldn't possibly comment Jennifer. Suffice to say we have differing opinions on our own politicians too!

I think that myself. I cannot comprehend what people think when they enter the voting booth.
