Skywatch Friday - what a gift!

Getting soaked by the open door, I decided I'd best close it. There, on the other side of the lake, a rainbow. Grabbing my camera, I ran out into the rain. The video is noisy with wind and rain.

skywatchThe sunset was striking, too! What a treat.

Great pictures. I just love rainbows but I rarely have an opportunity to photograph one.

Nothing like a sunset after a few clouds, some wind, and a healthy soaking of rain. Beautiful! W.C.C.

Nice shots Jen.....rainbows are truly a blessing.....I've seen them even in the winter....they don't do a full circle for the ice crystal don't go that far up in the atmosphere I guess!!!!!

Oh you will miss your lake when you go....I know we sure miss our little Palette Lake....it was truly a gift to live there for 14 years!!!!!

I haven't seen a rainbow yet this summer! But with the heat and humidity, I have not had the curtains open, either...

The pictures look so calm but the video shows the storm in action. Love the loon calls! - Margy

What glorious skies. Love the rainbow! I'd probably have run out as well. I've stayed in Minden and Haliburton but not the Muskokas - beautiful spot to love in!
