This new blogger is such a pain. I uploaded these photos to tell my story, and they are in reverse order. I don't know how many people blog on a smartphone, which is the motivation for change, but the way they have changed this up is terribly irritating to many of us who blog on a laptop. Sorry. Venting. I know I am preaching to the choir. Thanks for listening.
OK, I think I can do this. This was the end of my day. I took the photo to remind me of the robins. I hadn't seen any for weeks. They raised their young, and dispersed. There were several at the water fountain. It was delightful to see their little red breasts. I was too far away for a photo, but you know what they look like!
There are two spiders, hanging out by the front door. I will let them still till frost up. Everyone needs a home!
Fall is here! This is deep in the forest, and I cannot see or photograph the tops of this maple tree. It just drops leaves each day, and I enjoy seeing them on the forest floor.
Physiotherapy
JB visited physiotherapy, duly masked, with protocols. He is excellent doing his exercises. They send a link for videos of them, which helps when you get home and have more questions! It really helps to see someone do them. People have invented some amazing tools and technology during this pandemic. He has been having problems with his laptop and his sore arm. I suggested an over chair table. We googled images, and thought this one might work. It swivels out and in, to snugly hold his laptop. Happily, they had them in the mobility store in town. The technician accidentally took out a screw that was labelled ' do not remove'.
COVID–19
Our health unit has reported two COVID–19 cases in east Lanark. We hadn't had any cases in weeks. We'll see what happens, but most people seem to be cooperating.
California Wildfires
Our kids, in Vancouver, B.C., are still feeling the effects of the smoke from the US. They are staying indoors and running air purifiers. They've just moved to a more spacious co-op home, redone the garden, gotten a tent for outdoors play. They have to stay indoors or take drives. They had rain, which helped a tad to go down to 8 AQHI, but my son tells me they are forecasting 10+ AQHI today.
