Saturday's Critters

There was great excitement up above the earth through NASA.

Here on earth, life carries on, the circle of life unfolds in the new season. The deer have scattered, except for our regular pair of mother and fawn. They are fawns for a year. Then they are yearlings. We'll see if we get any fawns. They are born around May. We didn't see any with spots last year. It was unusual.

I do have archives!

An altercation may have done this, or a meeting with a fence.

Good Bunny Labbit hasn't been out too much. I caught it on the driveway. I think it has given up on Fred Groundhog's burrows.

The birds have been amazing. Many winter migrators have returned.

I hope you get some spotted fauns this season. Our bears are awake and visiting the trash corrals...one was spotted while people were out and about, and of course the next day a guy appeared with his rifle. I'm staying inside as much as possible...but really want to enjoy the beautiful day.

The astronauts coming back was very exciting. My wife and I had an event to go last night and so we missed it.

Thank God for Artemis 2 and human excellence and doing things together. And for wonderful wildlife! I think we are seeing so many cracks in the orange pumpkin that I have hope for the future. Thank God our US courts are holding up! Don't give up on us Canada! A lot of good people are here and are deeply deeply. Deeply concerned. Thanks for your wonderful posts. Sorry my caregiving duties and and mother's recent death and now my accountant has passed right before tax day! It's a lot! I need my log world and my blog friends more than ever. Thanks for providing this wonderful escape to Ontario so I can heal. Aloha!

It does interest me that we get our deer venturing back about the time you say you stop getting them close by. I wish we could ask them this kind of thing, eh.

Returning birds catch my ear as much as anything else.

I'm so amazed that you were able to capture that little bird on the tree. I wonder if the missing fur is an injury.
