We're losing ours. We responded to 9/11, as the US called for Article 5 and other countries helped all around the world. We sent 40,000 troops to Afghanistan. We lost 158 souls, including 3 solders shot by US troops in a friendly fire incident.

Laughed out loud at the silly AI cartoon, but the message was just right. As well as Carney's! We're hunkering down for our first winter storm...not able to prepare very much besides having survival stuff if we're iced in...but if the elec. goes out we'll be pretty cold.

I was appalled at Trump's statements, first being that everybody depends on the US to save them but we can depend on NATO helping us out. What an ignorant thing to say because the only time anybody invoked that part of NATO lots of countries responded and stood shoulder to shoulder with US forces and lost lots of their own citizens. And then the second thing when he said that the NATO soldiers were not on the front lines.
I am so angry and embarrassed by him. And of course he doubles down on his stupidity.

This is a wonderful critters post and I loved the videos. I keep remembering my dear old grandmother's words, if you keep rolling your eyes upwards like that, they are going to stick. Too late grandmother, they are permanently rolling upwards these days as the lies and chaos keep coming. What mind-boggling distraction will come next I wonder? I dread to think!

Posts like this help keep me sane in these horrible days. Deer, birds, cats and funny cartoons are an antidote to the horror of life here in the US these days. I do my best to focus on the good in my life but it gets harder every day.

The cold was brutal but we survived. Loved Carney's message, wish the news outlets would stop reporting on every stupid thing that man from the US says.
Poor Cinnamon, so many to choose from. It's super cold here also with temperatures never rising above freezing for this week. We have damaged trees from the heavy coating of ice of freezing rain, and we hope very much that the electricity stays on. Other than that it's life as usual. I'm hoping you do okay this week, as there is so much colder than here.
