Snomageddon Jan. 15

What a January! Then the snow began Wednesday night. It snowed all day. We did the driveway twice, the sidewalk three times.

There was 11 cm on the driveway by 11:00 a.m. We ended up with 24.5 cm.

By the time I went back up the driveway and down again, this is what it looked like. I went out and did it again. You couldn't see the road.

Compare that to Monday morning, when I put garbage out.

We spent Thursday digging out.
Friday morning:

It really is pretty. We don't have the problems many have in the city: where to put the durn stuff. We watched the weather, and prepared. I made a big casserole, while has lasted 3 days.

We cleaned the bird feeders several times!

The back deck!

Happily the sun rose.

The deer waited for someone else to rise!

If we have to we can get out!

It's so much nicer with the sun out!

That's some serious snow. Beautiful but WOW. We don't have that much, though more is predicted along with a frigid temp drop this coming week. You're right about the sun on snow. It lifts you. The casserole sounds perfect.

A calm, cold and sunny day really is pleasant.

Glad you all are well prepared for snow and being "cabin bound." Yet you have also considered how it impacts the critters in your neighborhood, so there is more than just snow. Glad the sun came out too.

What a LOT of snow and cold! I'm sure the birds appreciated you clearing off their feeders. It is so beautiful when the sun shines. Stay cozy!

I can't believe we got another six inches last night!

The lights along our sidewalk are covered with snow, at our house. So far we have room to put it, but parking lots are starting to sport mountains. Stay warm.

Sunshine sounds nice. We haven't seen much of it at all. I think we got more snow down here than you did and you are right about no where to put it.

I'm so very grateful it's not me who has to deal with all the snow in our yard, but I admire you! -Kate

Is it okay if I'm a tad bit jealous! Oh how I would love to experience snow like this for just one time in my life. I know it's a lot of work but so much beauty.

too much, what a task to clear the pathway, -25 is frigid. Have you tried throwing a glass of water outside to see if it freezes in the air?

Wow, that's cold and a lot of snow.

So much snow but looks incredible. A lot of hard work clearing a pathway. I agree about the sunshine, makes everything seem better.
