ICE and Heat

I wrote yesterday about Circle of Influence. That said, I think it important to witness what is happening. The DHS in the US is hiring thugs, basically bounty hunters, for $1000 -  $1500 per person kidnapped. No ID, no name tags, no warrants. Finally, people are coming to that realization, and standing up to them. This is how people in the US are stepping up.  This is how it is done...

Brownshirt ICE rolled up to my local Home Depot today and got the F-off treatment. Shoutout to this woman because this is exactly how it’s done. No badge, face covered = F*ck all the way off. 📌 It’s on us citizens to stand up for our vulnerable brothers and sisters.

It was a hot weekend. The bike tour was on: they cycled from Ottawa (171 km) or Perth to Kingston (119km) and stayed overnight only to reverse it all and to return Sunday. I just couldn't imagine... The roads are awful with angry drivers. I could hear cars gunning their engines in order to pass them.

There is a two-foot bike lane, but those large trucks give cyclists a wide berth, veering into the oncoming lane. People have been commenting on Social Media that these HUGE trucks aren't safe, too big, and you cannot see young kids over them at school crossings or bus stops.

#75 is getting bolder!

I figured out that he is eating little teeny wild strawberries!

I got a bit silly with Pride flags.

Here is your giggle for the day. If you want to look under your water bottle, to read the label and see how much it holds, it’s best if the lid is on and you aren’t holding the bottle above your laptop! It was all OK, but that heat makes me silly! I feel so badly for those renting, or without an air conditioner.
This is about 8 ℃ higher than June averages.

Hi #75. Good that he’s getting tiny strawberries. Just watch out for those trucks!

The people that are here illegally need to go back to where they came from. I fully support ICE and what they do! Give them all support! Immigrants are welcome that come into the USA legally.

Ice and heat sounds like a treatment for bodily injury, but I think you had another thing in mind.

We live in growingly 'interesting' times... Oh, bike racing - TdF coming up soon (I'm easily and happily distracted from world nonsense)... YAM xx

The water bottle trick sounds like something I would do :-)

I was about ready to dump a water bottle over my head just to keep cool, so you might be on to something. I worry about Rick on rides like that. He'll take off in August for three weeks to go to Ottawa, Eastern Townships and down to New Hampshire and Massachusetts. He does try to find good cycling roads and avoid major ones. He says drivers in Canada are far nicer than the US but after his friend George's death (he was killed by a semi who just didn't see him, despite George being world's safest rider), it makes me nervous.

I like all your flags. The weather is so hot, I feel for those bike riders. Take care, enjoy your day!

I love your pride flags.
Ugh on those temperatures you are enduring. And ICE.

#75 is finding things to eat and I think it's cute.
Being on a bicycle on the road is hard enough on a good day.
