I figured out yesterday that it was Momma Fred who was taken by the coyote. She had a good run. We've four teenaged groundhog kits foraging, and looking out for predators. I feel responsible!
Our 3 released rescue squirrels are having a fine time. We are to provide for for a week. Eventually they will forage on their own. The trailcam provides me some entertainment. They don't come out when we are there. Joe feeds them faithfully each morning. Until Monday!
They are so happy with freedom and climbing the tree.
They come out at night while the pregnant doe cleans up the bird seed. You can see them on top of the nest box, agitated with the thefts! The sounds of the frogs at night is glorious!
We continue to see a variety of critters out and about.
I moved this camera away to watch the Freds. Maybe a mistake. I've seen a bear, coyote, and these three bucks wandering on through.
The pregnant doe has been ambling around. I know how she feels. My second child, Jesse, was 10 ½ lbs. at birth!
I caught the bear on a couple of cameras. It might have been two bears. One looks large, the other smaller. The large one ambled down the driveway.
Boo boo bear was about. The older one was on the driveway, but this one I have not seen near the house.

You really get the visitors. I tend to take it for granted, but it really is quite remarkable.
Visiting from Saturday's Critters. Always a variety of critters to see around your place.
Mama Fred has been replaced by Mama Jenn. Yes, a good run, but it's still so sad.

RIP Mama Fred... meanwhile, those squirrels sure to scurry and that's definitely a big bear! YAM xx
Hello,
Cute captures of the squirrels. I love the deer and bear videos, great captures. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, have a great day and a happy weekend! PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.
I would be leery of the bears.
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear about momma Fred.
OH noooo... Poor Mama Fred....
Hello Jenn, so sorry about Mama Fred. I hope her little ones live a good, happy life. Good to know your squirrels are doing well. I can't open your videos today. My internet may be too slow right now so I will check back.
I hope the bears don't decide to take more territory
Bears are looking for porridge! Be careful! Linda in Kansas
I'm always amazed at the variety of critters you have around your home.
Bears make me very, very nervous. One of our neighbours had one get into her kitchen. Not amusing, until safety one more allowed.
I am back and had no problem watching your delightful videos on my iPad. All lovely! That bear!!!
