I wrote yesterday about our wonderful adventure going to the kids' high school musical last Friday. So many kids were involved and volunteering, as well as the actors and stage hands. It's a village...
Driving to the show in the dark the lights were wonderful to see. This house has to house musicians. I love it. Of course, as we drove home Saturday just before noon, nothing was lit!
Saturday morning, the kids had a 2 p.m. matinee, and had to head out for a 12:30 call. There is lots of make up to apply and costumes to climb into. We said our goodbyes and headed home to see the cats. Bye!!!
On the way home, a Tesla, (Yuck!)
and a coyote crossed our path.
They were back ice fishing Saturday morning. It just doesn't look safe to me, but the smart ones know to test the ice. You can see the augers out as they create a fishing hole.

Dwyer Hill Training Centre
In March, the government announced:
"...the Honourable Anita Anand, Minister of National Defence, announced a $1.4-billion infrastructure project to upgrade special operations forces’ facilities at the Dwyer Hill Training Centre in Ottawa."
We pass this on our way into Ottawa. It was for sale, we'd heard, but instead, they are building infrastructure on the other side of Perth Rd.

We arrived home, me wishing I'd put the trailcam out in the hallway. The cats ate both dinner and breakfast from Friday/Saturday, double rations, but kept themselves busy.

Those Tesla cars are hideous. Looks like the weather driving home was iffy. That's the worst part about holiday travel!
I think the person who owns that Tesla thing lives in Richmond. My partner is from there and various members of his circle and posting photos of the vehicle.
That cement thing looks like the base of a highway. We have round-a-bouts here in Kansas City. Most are as you describe, and the speed limit sign is usually 20mph in those goofy circles. It does actually keep traffic moving quicker than a traditional intersection. But the act of yielding is scary when you're not sure if anyone else knows what to do. I think they're better when there's nothing in the middle circle. But some ritzy residential areas put up big stone structures and landscaping, so I'm not sure what's on the other side. Glad you got home okay, the weather and roads look a bit dicey. You saw quite a few sights on your trip. That coyote running across the road was interesting. We had two foxes in our yard today. A few of our North Dakota relatives do ice fishing. We have a few Teslas around here. Not a fan! We have had roundabouts for a long while. I can't tell you how many accidents occurred on them. We saw a few ourselves but they appear to have worked them out now. Fingers crossed! Our old cat used to bring us lots of presents for us. Wishing you warmth and sunshine!

Home again safe, full of New memories
Roundabouts are all the newer thing around here. I for one am glad they put them in one of our rural intersections. After 5 terrible accidents and 3 deaths, the 15mph roundabout has really been a blessing.
When I go to the 'city' there are 3 of them in a row and they are double lanes! That is confusing, but with enough experience, people figure it out.
Ice fishing on a river! Yikes! People do it here on the Mississippi and have to be very very careful because the river very rarely gives up anyone who falls through.
Not for me!

When you are away the mice will play...good kitties for sure!!
