Little teeny ice balls!

We went into town on Tuesday, after my client visit.
I saw the truck coming, told hubby to stop well back from the lines. There was a car illegally parked on our left.

Do you think Perth needs a ring road?

The purpose of our visit to town was to purchase a smartphone, and some cell phone service. They fixed our phone line, after 15 days [The whole saga: ☎️Bell Canada – Let's Talk]. Mission accomplished. Now, we could transfer our landline phone number, which is really convenient, but not without a fight. The kids told me that when they converted their phone, and transferred their number, which took a week. We'll see how long this takes. Both phones work, for now.

The turkeys have been hanging around.

It was going to be a miserable day, Wednesday, Feb. 6th. We knew it was coming. The deer didn't look too happy.

Hubby went out for a knee x-ray, and fetched some groceries before it began. Slowly it crept northwest. First snow, then ice pellets.

What did it look like? After a massive melt on the previous day, there is ice everywhere. This is the end of the driveway.

The roads weren't great. It is wonderful seeing the snowplows going back and forth.

This is the front sidewalk, which I had laboriously scraped and chipped.

The 'birds' didn't mind at all. They fed religiously all day.

What a day in southeastern Ontario!

What a week it has been. I had my hair cut on Christmas Eve.

My daughter told me about Road Operations and Data Analysis features Track My Plow!

Numerous vehicular incidents, a fire in Rideau Ferry. Someone captured it on video.
I spotted a fire truck making it to the scene. Vehicles were having a hard time getting onto the slippery shoulder. The trucks were by frequently to salt and keep the roads clear. Our driveway was a slippery mess. They were skating on the street in Peterborough!

There was a 5-hour delay along the 401 into Toronto. Such a mess. The ice pellets stopped and by noon it was rain. I put out the rain gauge!

I had a lovely birthday breakfast. It was fabulous! Hubby is getting quite good at his birthday (November) camera.

Tigger can empty the last few inches of bird seed in 10 minutes!

Frosty totally melted. Face plant in the snow.

I've moved the trailcam. Fun shots.

Mr. Cardinal is getting easier to photograph. He's brought the Mrs., but I have been unable to photograph her.

Tuesday: ice pellets

Thankfully, it later changed to snow! Grumpy cats are outside...

What a day it was!

Everything was soaked in precipitation of all sorts!

Snow, rail, hail, ice pellets. Off I went outdoors to clean off the driveway.
I had helpers. Not hubby, whose back is bad.
The kittens, Daisy and Dorah, were keen!
Oak Tree
It was delightful to get outdoors and play in the slushy snow. I could have gone for a workout, but it was good to get out into the fresh air.

The poor trees were tipped over with the weight of the ice.
This is what our old pine should look like!

Poor old pine, branches were
on the ground

heavily-laden branches on the other pine tree, too

Poor bear is cold!

Back inside, my helpers were pretty weary! And they required much wash-up! Buster is an excellent big brother! He gave Dorah a good face wash in the video.
