Thanksgiving visitors

I love technology. The kids let me know when they are leaving and I can Glympse their trip here from Ottawa.

Saturday we had a quiet day with our girls. It was pouring rain, 7mm. Bedtime was fun, though. They have a new pet, Barney, the hamster they adopted.

He was at the animal shelter for 2 weeks. Every night they take him into the bath tub for play time, while they clean his cage. Twas Is' turn Saturday.

Sunday, the stuffing was made and the turkey (23.5 lbs.) was popped into the oven. Afterwards, Caitlin and I cleaned the eavestrough. Our SIL was at a family funeral until later in the day. I had trouble lifting the turkey a my glasses fogged up every time.

The backyard looks amazing. We're so lucky to be able to see these colours. If you look carefully you can see a girl in a blue jacket with her Papa.

I did my traditional pumpkin turkey! The kids fetched some forest objects to decorate the table. A lovely toadstool that someone knocked over in the forest.

The turkey was 23.5 lbs. It didn't fit into the pan with the lid. I'm sending leftovers home with the kids. That was my plan.

Grampa has been collecting dragon-like wine bottles and puts grape and cranberry juice in them.
Can you spot the real wine and the pretend wine? The kids are into dragons and fantasy stories!

The girls got dressed up, after indoor and outdoor play. Jos (8) took some of the photos. She's getting pretty good at it. Practice, practice, practice!
