Muskoka Trip Part IV: Gravenhurst Market

Our hotel was in Gravenhurst Bay. We had brekkie then popped over to the Gravenhurst Market, for old times' sake! Lots of fun items.
We've been to markets in Kemptville, Rosseau, Perth, Brockville, etc. I love the local produce, crafts, artisans.

They have robust websites, for example the Ontario site: Markets Ontario®
I tried knitting but it didn't take!
The mice are for sale in the basket.
School kids had a field trip.
Many vendors gave them samples!
We bought a souvenir for the cats!
Actually, bought 2!

Love that fork and spoon!

Do you know what that is in the upper right?
Very clever!

Hubby bought a new frame for a wedding photo.
I love the heron door, though.

One of our favourite sellers.
Karla and her beans.

This building burned in a fire.
Tragic when the big box stores took over from family businesses.

Bear on the dock!

Brockville Farmer's Market June 15, 2013

Farmers' Markets Ontario
A big listing of markets all across the province. Here are some photos from June 15th in Brockville!
You will spot the great number of folks in some sort of costume. This weekend was the Tall Ships Brockville event.
We visited the Tall Ships event in Brockville, June 14-16, 2013.

Quite the watermelon!

It's time for Farmer's Markets!

Visit one near you! They have robust websites, for example the Ontario site:

Farmers' Markets Ontario®

All across Ontario, shoppers are choosing Farmers' Markets for nature's best produce, secure in the knowledge that the food is fresh, safe to eat.
Shoppers love them because they can buy top-quality farm-fresh products directly from the person who produced them—and can often find products they won’t find anywhere else.

Almonte Farmers Market Saturday May 18th. New hours are 8:30 - 12:30.
