🎏 Spring Chores

2024

• Prepare BBQ for summer <= Grill Spot Guide.
• Clean water fountain, plug 'er in.
•      Ditto: bird bath.
• Wash and put away bird feeders.
• Wash windows.
• Put out hummingbird food
• Flower veggie baskets
• Set up bench swing with cushions.
• Set up water barrels.(April 10).
• put up the flags & deer fence.
• Recaulk the aquarium.

• set up bench swing with cushions,    
• start up the water fountain,  
• recharge the lawn tractor battery,  twice, sent off for repairs Apr. 21, back home May 2nd,
• put the fish into the goldfish pond & clean the fish tank, Percy in May 1st, after eating siblings,
• wash windows,
• wash and put away bird feeders, 
• put out hummingbird food, 
• put out fairy lights, replace the batteries on the fairy lights, 
• Plant veggies, flower baskets...

I thought I might as well get this 'on paper!' Last year I had helpers. Not this year. They are in gr. 6 and gr. 9! They are doing really well. 

• put up the water barrels, Fri., April 8th
• Move the half barrel out of the garden, (BTW: it fell apart, and is toast!)
• put up the flag deer fence,
• put away the cherry blossom fake tree, (dunno if I should throw it away. It doesn't work.)
• set up bench swing with cushions,    
• start up the water fountain, (May 8th) (redid the water fountain May 11th.)
• recharge the lawn tractor battery, (Did it early May. It worked.)
• put the fish into the goldfish pond & clean the fish tank,
• wash windows, pfffttt
• wash yogurt off the back deck plexiglass, I made that mess in March, but it's been too cold to wash it! BTW – a bird anointed it May 7th. Back to square one.
• wash and put away bird feeders, bears on the trailcam hustled me along.
• put out hummingbird food, (May 4th. I've heard reports of them a km away, none here yet. First one May 10th.)
• put out fairy lights, replace the batteries on the fairy lights, 3/6 aren't working. 4/6 are working.
• find a contractor to replace the eavestrough and fascia, DONE!
• repair the dryer. Not a 'spring' chore, but it was on the To Do list!
• Plant veggies (May 16th), flower baskets...
