Late lunch out

We aren't venturing too far from home. One Canadians was going to #NoKings day protests to support our American friends. It didn't go well. Page 1 of CBP docs K Larson 18OCT2025. I've kept a list of people detained. They wouldn't let him return to Canada unless he gave them a DNA swab.

First stop Wednesday was the hair salon. Joe Brian got a lot of attention sitting waiting for me! We were offered water, tea, or hot chocolate. I usually do the 45-minute drive myself, but we had a goal.

Generations on the Lake: we were there in 2013! It has had a 10-year renovation.

The building is 100 years old that has been lovingly restored. We offer a beautiful conference room for meetings. In addition, we have boat docking for our guests. This is a great place to have family reunions and group meeting as well corporate team building. We provide a natural setting on 7 miles of beautiful lake.  Generations on the Lake Restaurant
There are two woodstoves keeping us warm in the cold.

It was busy when we arrived, but things quieted down. Joe Brian removed his hearing aids as the noises are amplified equally, whether it is me talking or the people at the far end.

We had enough for leftovers for dinner the next night. I had chicken parmesan, yummy. Joe had chicken and waffle, with veggies. I took the leftover wine home!

Picture this in summer!

Generations is a unique place.
Hearing aids in public spaces are problematic.

Food looks yummy. As a hearing device wearer, may I suggest having his hearing aid person adjust/reprogram the aids to recognize and diminish background sounds. It's too cold there! Linda in Kansas

That was a full plateful, for sure! Great spot, though, and your hair is pretty. YAM xx

Ambient noise is one of the things keeping us out of restaurants, without hearing aids.

Hearing aids!!! My previous ones had a restaurant setting, the new ones have "outdoors", as well as Personal, Telephone. I find in the car they amplify the engine and road noise and I find it hard to tell what Hugh is saying!!! What a beautiful venue for a gathering or a meal, I am guessing you will be there again in summer.

That's a lovely haircut. I just cut my hair, Art and mom's. We don't look as good as you, I'm afraid.
Wow! That's a very generous portion of food at the restaurant.
