We're into this polar vortex. Durn frigid. For the critters, it may mean hunkering down. The birds are eating like mad. This morning it was -9 ℃ which gets into your bones.
The woodpecker wasn't cooperating. Or I am too slow! The mourning dove gives me a look!
Butch will settle in to some safe tree, nook or cranny until it warms up a tad.
I have neglected Butch raccoon in all our beaver excitement. (Barry's under the ice, more on him later...)
Three buddies in the forest!
The doe keeps visiting and munching on garden debris!
What is fun is seeing the lights levels over the season. The camera captured it because Labbit was on the sidewalk setting off the sensor.
We've been playing around our lights for December. It's cold and dark outside. This is version 1. Joseph Brian is in charge and has been working on it. It's a moveable feast.
