Lovely weeds to hide a fish or two!
I took a ride in my canoe on Otty Lake. I spotted one of the most lauded birds of summer. The Common Loon. The cycle of life is a fascinating one. The lake weed is a wonderful habitat for the Bluefin Sunfish. You can see them scooting around, looking for food. They are nearly impossible to photograph with my camera, although I gave it a shot!

Dragonfly I rescued from my pond.
Skywatching (6:1) from a canoe!
I spotted the dragonflies scooting over the surface of the water, and the Bluefin Sunfish eating the dragonflies and other bugs, then the Common Loon and the Seagull (I don't know which kind, Red!) eating the fish.
Searching...
Grabbed a bite to eat!
Ready, aim...
S/he watched me carefully!
Suddenly, a splash, the Loon is gone!
The loon was kind enough to serenade me. I had the lake to myself until about 8 a.m., when I spotted one other craft. Most of the boats are flat bottomed. The lake is only 60' deep at the deep end.
